About Us

Good Beginnings Child Care Center is an established day care operation in Rosenberg, Texas.

Opened in 1975 by Barbara “Honey” Mercer, Good Beginnings has since continued to provide quality childcare for the families of Fort Bend County. In the summer of 2013, Mrs. Mercer retired her role at the center and turned ownership over to her daughter, Angie Womble who has continued to grow the center while maintaining the long-standing legacy Mrs. Mercer worked hard to sustain over the course of her 30 years as the acting owner/director.

Mrs. Womble believes that children deserve a warm, loving environment that provides many opportunities to learn through play.

Children enrolled at Good Beginnings will be presented with endless opportunities to grow their knowledge and interests through guided activities and themed curricula throughout their tenure with the center. Children enrolled at our operation range from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years of age with curriculum designed to accommodate each area of development, tailored to the child’s developmental needs while providing a welcoming and nurturing environment to cater to the child’s comfort while in our staff’s care.

Our staff is well trained, with many of our teachers holding or in the process of obtaining the Child Development Associates Certification.
